Hunterian Museum

Anatomical collection of the surgeon John Hunter on Lincoln's Inn Fields, not for the faint-hearted.

Website

In the 18th century the surgeon John Hunter collected thousands of human and animal specimens in order to understand the body. The jars with organs and skeletons stand in bright display cases, and the museum also tells the history of surgery up to the present day. It reopened after a renovation and is clearly laid out. If you’re squeamish, consider beforehand whether the exhibition is for you.
