The Cast Courts hold plaster casts of great works of art, including a copy of Michelangelo’s David and Trajan’s Column in two parts. The jewellery gallery, the fashion galleries and the rooms of Asian art are among the highlights. The cafés are in the original Victorian rooms, decorated with tiles and glass. On Friday evenings there are sometimes events, and the museum feels transformed.
